The Department of Orthodontics was established in 2018, and its establishment works are still ongoing. The Department of Orthodontics serves as a clinic with 6 dental units, and it has a photography room, an x-ray room, a material collection room, 2 laboratories, and a sterilization room.
In the Department of Orthodontics, an ideal tooth sequence is obtained by using removable or fixed appliances in patients of all ages with dental jaw incompatibility and crooked teeth, and skeletal disorders are corrected by growth guidance. The treatments applied in our clinic are removable, functional and fixed appliance treatments, early orthodontic treatments, extraoral appliance applications, adult orthodontic treatment and clear plate treatment, cleft lip and palate, sleep apnea and reinforcement treatments.
Dental Education
Dental students receive 26 hours of theoretical orthodontics education in the 3rd and 4th grades. In the fourth and 5th grades, they receive 44 hours and 60 hours of orthodontic wire bending, diagnosis and treatment planning, case discussion and clinical application training in small groups in turn.
Education Program
There are 2 days a week case discussion meeting (Tuesday and Thursday hours: 11:00-12:00). A seminar meeting is held every fifteen days (Monday Hours 15:00-16:00).
