Exercise Applications in Musculoskeletal System Diseases in Dentists

The profession of dentistry is among the high-risk occupational groups for musculoskeletal system diseases because it requires working in fixed positions for long periods. Pain and discomfort are frequently observed, especially in areas such as the neck, lower back, shoulders, and wrists. In this context, an informative event titled 'Exercise Applications in Musculoskeletal System Diseases in Dentists' was organized by our Faculty with the participation of our academic staff for our students to raise awareness about common musculoskeletal system issues in dentists and methods of prevention and protection. Practical explanations on the prevention and protection of common musculoskeletal system disorders in dentists were provided by Lecturer Dr. İsmail ÇALIK and Lecturer Dr. Raziye ERKAN from our University's Faculty of Sports Sciences.
