The “Training on Combating Addiction” organized for all our faculty students was held on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 16:00 in our University Conference and Exhibition Hall. The training was provided by the Burdur Provincial Police Department Narcotic Crimes Division.
In the training attended by a total of 298 students, the definition of narcotic substances was discussed. The effects of substance use on physical and mental health, as well as the social and economic consequences it brings to individual and community life, were also explained. Additionally, information was provided about the addiction process, risk factors, and ways to protect against it.
